"They just barely work for us. But thank goodness. they do because these are the best harnesses ever for our purposes. We have two standard poodles and have received the new version along with the older version of this mesh harness. Our dogs were just under 50 pounds and our standard poodles. I love that these harnesses are so lightweight. I can stick it in my pocket! I do prefer the older version with the lighter weight buckles, but I understand that for the larger harnesses a heavier, buckle makes sense. I want to mention that the customer service that Dean offered us was outstanding. He sent us multiple harnesses to make sure that we got exactly the ones that worked the best for us. Also, the harness that we have from five years ago in which has been very well used as in perfect condition! A testament to how incredibly well-made harnesses are."

"Surprisingly perfect for our Standard Poodles (45 pounds and 50 pounds). Poodles have very delicate necks - a harness with NO pressure on the windpipe is essential. We've bought a dozen harness over the years but keep coming back to this one! We found it on a trip in Colorado about 5 years ago. The one we have is still in perfect condition, a testament to durability. Also love it is lightweight (fits in a coat pocket!) No buckles to pinch or rub. We have the xxx size. It won't stop them from escaping (Pippin backed out of hers once when she saw a rabbit! But now that we know this it gives us enough time to restrain them. I am back now to purchase a few more of this amazing harness."

"We really like this harness because it is less bulky than other harnesses - it doesn't pinch on our dog's ribs and doesn't restrict movement in his shoulders. (We don't have to worry about excessive pulling by our pup, but it does keep him squirming away when something spooks him on his walks.)"
